Sure, I mean, what reasons there would be for the show to remain named "RWBY" if all four of its members continue to be separate?

Well duh. Which is why i do think that the 4 should reunite this volume. Not the next one.

I'm fine with it! As long as hopefully I can see a badass Blake, who's kickin' ass to take revenge. So basically a Blake that got enough of running and now fights back.

I want to see angry brooding vengeful Blake. Like a cat version of Batman. Blakeman.

Okay let's have some fun time! This week's challange, guess the Semblance! Basically you take a canon(!) character, that appeared in the show and did fight either in the tournament or elsewhere, (I mean as in Hunters, not common soldiers) and you guess their Semblance!

Ren: Super aura-control

Neon: Speed semblance similar to Ruby, just less speed with more mobility

Ciel: Some form of ability that changes in power or form based on the time of day, perhaps relating to the sun.

Coco: Either some form of super-sight or a "hammer space" within her purse that allows her to store more ammo (Or clothes, either one)

Yatsuhashi: The ability to turn his sword into a chainsaw Something to do with his boring weapon, like a Wind Scar or something.

I want Ciel to be a mini-DIO. Uses Time Dust to stop the time for few seconds and her Semblance should allow her to summon all sort of things like throwing knives and steamrollers. Of course her Semblance would have a negative side effect, she needs natural light, like the Sun or the Moon to could summon things. Otherwise she has to rely on her Aura Combat capabilites.

Pretty funny, but I have 2 Semblances in mind.

The first is quite simple. Electricity. Full control of it. From inducing electricity in machines and humans, with or without physical connection. The reason for this, I could have a good combo with Nora.

The second is more sinister yet, more related to Pinocchio. The puppeteer, technically controlling people through thin threads of Aura. Much like the Puppet Master Jutsu from Naruto which used Chakra threads, but unlike that I can control humans instead, maybe fellow robots too, but it would be more twisted if humans only. Just imagine, a puppet that controls humans, I love this more that's sure.

Potential semblances eh? That sounds like a fun idea. And i actually have one for Jaune.

Alright, so in volume 1 Jaune was kind of getting build up as more of a strategist than a fighter. Assuming they haven't abandoned that idea. I think a good way to solidify that part of his character would be to give him a semblance with great strategical potential.

Like for instance future vision. A very short but also very powerful future vision.
Basically, as soon as he activate his semblance he can see with perfect accuracy what's going to happen in the next 10 secondes. And according to that information he can make a decision.

This would obviously be a pretty game breaking ability. So as you might expect its very exhausting to use. And it still relies on Jaune making the right choice. Which combined with Jaune's own relative weakness as a fighter, makes it a very difficult but awesome semblance.

I thought Jaune's semblance is shield, I mean he deflected Cardin's punch. Afterall he's a Berserk, a Brawler, the Tank of his team. But that would be a cool thing.

I always thought that shield was just his aura doing its job. I mean, unless your name is yang i imagine punching somebody with a aura shield is kind of like punching a wall.

Jaune is a tactician you say?

With a side of Awakening Arkos!
finding a blonde Robin is like finding a needle in a lake, ok?

I though Jaune's semblance was healing, because he healed that cut really fast after Pyrrha activated his aura. Eh… Might have been his aura like she said… I dunno. I can't wait to see what it actually is.

I never figured out his semblance. We were too busy doing the basic training build up Jaune needed. Granted he learned it really fast, but we just didn't have enough time.

Ciel – Light
Scarlet – Partial flight

Now, shift of RWBY topic: if the series finale were to happen, how would it go out? For me, it's Ruby's confrontation with either Salem or the king of Grimm, Weiss and Blake's last stand against the crumbling White Fang at Vale, and Yang's final fight with the Grimm. Ruby delivers the final blow against Salem/any other higher power, but she realizes too late that she/they have the last laugh, as a final batch of the Grimm invades and mortally wounds her. After the sudden confrontation. Ruby could feel the pain flooding her and realizes that it would soon go away. Ruby then starts singing a lullaby related to her, her family and sister, the future without her, and something about keeping moving forward, all set to a tone like/similar to this:

Or this:

While Ruby sings the lullaby, we then cut to Weiss being forced to separate from Blake due to Adam, who survived Yang/Blake's wrath, butting in to confront Blake one last time. Weiss sees that she's running short on the dust in her rapier as she continues to fight the onslaughts of the White Fang. Blake is shocked to see him in person, and how far he has come as well, as they duke it out. Yang, after being knocked off of her motorcycle, begins to resort to her fists, either one robotic or both, and automatic shot-gauntlets, as well as her legs to fight off the Grimm. After the sequence, Ruby's voice slowly begins to weaken, as she is heard coughing a few times.

Persisting to sing, Ruby begins to recall the early years of her life, the years when her mother Summer Rose was still around, when Taiyang was less depressed, and when Yang was still a fun-loving girl. Weiss is now shown beginning to completely empty out the slots in her weapon one-by-one as the last of the reinforcements of the White Fang including its most powerful members and the White Fang Lieutenant (if he isn't killed earlier) surround and beat her to death, as Weiss shows her last feelings of genuine shock, horror, and surprise. Adam loses the fight to Blake, but as Blake is walking away weakly, he has the last laugh as he still is holding his rifle, so he fires a bullet into Blake's head, causing her to die, before dying himself. Yang, while trying to bash a Beringel to death, gets one of her arms blown off, forcing her to re-strategize, but the Grimm gains the upper hand as Yang meets her untimely death. Qrow, if he doesn't die, arrives too late at the scene to see the battlefield barren, with only Yang's dead body laying on the ground. Qrow then promptly breaks down to tears, and either he transforms into Yang to honor her, revealing that he has more to his shapeshifting, or not, but either way, he retreats.

As the final notes come into play, Ruby finishes the last lyrics of her lullaby, as she can see her vision blurring. Her last words are: "A-…And thus-cough-k-kindly-cough cough …I scatter too.." before she finally croaks. Then the camera slowly pans up towards the Moon, which is either now fixed, absent, or completely broken up, marking where the song ends for real. This marks the second-to-last scene we'll see out of RWBY as the credits show the names of everyone that has contributed to the show throughout the years, major or not. Then the post-credits scene is set into the future.

Whatever remains of the named students of Beacon, Mistral, etc., along with some of their children is seen visiting/exploring the museum, gazing upon the glorified statues of Team RWBY, along with a separate one with Pyrrha. We visit Jaune Arc's child recalling about hearing a legend that one of the RWBY members might still be around, despite the gravestones saying otherwise. A now-grown up Jaune chuckles at the legend and tells him/her about the times when Ruby was still around, as they leave the museum. Then the camera progressively halts to focus on what appears to be Ruby sitting on a bench…drinking alcohol? After that, she puts down the bottle as her eyes turn red, revealing "her" to be Qrow as he looks at an old photo of him in his own looks with Ruby before transforming into a crow and flying off into the sunset, as Monty's signature is seen before the screen fades to black.

EDIT #I LOST COUNT: If Qrow doesn't exhibit the ability to transform into more than just a crow, he'll just be in his older version of his look. Still, he'll use his semblance and fly off.

Wow……. That's a sad end. I don't like to think about endings, I'm more of a "think about the end when I'm done" type.

I understand how you feel, but hey, at least there's much less Grimm out there, right? Anyways, the reason I chose the somber tone of the ending is because of the way RWBY is removing its comedy and light-heartedness. I think it can end this way, if it doesn't bounce back up to the former tones.

I dunno about the Qrow turning into his nieces, but I like that ending. Dunno why, but I like the darker endings.

But dude, just cause Vol. 3 ended in tragedy doesn't mean they're removing all the lightheartedness. Before it was lighthearted in the "Kids will be kids" kinda way but now it'll be lighthearted in the "we're still alive and let's enjoy it" kinda way. It's to show how Ruby and the others "woke up" to how the world really is. Am I making sense?

Also, I gotta agree, Penny. Endings are nice, but the journey is the best part. And endings just leave me wondering what the next adventure will be.

I never thought I'm gonna quote Cinder but…..

"Even if you know how the story ends, that doesn't make it any less fun to watch."

That's not a bad idea. Personally though, i want the show to end with a fist fight on top of a giant robot between Ruby and a Cinder Possessed Yang.

I know, just an extensive one nonetheless. Anyways, the hypothesized fight of yours could be interesting, seeing how Cinder could possess Yang and what-not.

Well, I know Miles and Kerry had to watch Gurren Lagann, upon the orders of Monty before they could start writing RWBY but that doesn't mean it's gonna end that way. Oh well at least now I can quote a song!

"I'm a neon rainbow and you're no fun"

Woops. Sorry, i meant to say "Not a bad idea. At least i still had a chance to edit out my mistake.

Actually. Yang is only faking the possession bit. In reality she's only pretending to be Cinder to get close to Salem.

Nah……..? I'm just not an expert….. I really don't know what would be better, and since I have no other idea to come up with yet….. or actually now I have, but I need some preparation…. so yeah I can't really add to much, so I wouldn't waste the post space and god knows accidentally change topic.

Well……. Since I'll be off shopping soon, I just hint for now, when I return, I will tell you a tale! A fairy tale!

Are you then going to reveal that you're part of the Illuminati that's dedicated to saving the world, and ask us to have someone else soul transferred into us?

While I wait to get on my computer, which is being used by my brother, as I'm on an old, but still acceptable, laptop, I've typed up an alternate, happier ending.

While Ruby, Weiss, Blake and Yang still fight Salem/the highest power of the Grimm, the last of the White Fang, and much of the last of the Grimm in different places (exception for Weiss and Blake), this time, the outcomes are in their favor. Yes, the surprise Grimm attack on Ruby, Weiss and Blake separation, and Yang's left arm loss all still happen, but it does not mean that all of them would lose. Instead, Ruby manages to survive the surprise attack and make it back to Remnant, Weiss made sure to contact Ironwood to bring his army's ass to where she is, Blake decapitates Adam in the same way he tried to (adding for a rather ironic moment), and Qrow arrives just in time to help Yang fend off the Grimm. Ruby doesn't, obviously, end up dying and singing a lullaby set to a sad piano/orchestra song, so yeah. Then the post-credits scene is changed to the unveiling of the RWBY and Pyrrha statues with team RWBY, now grown up, as Qrow watches Ruby and Yang in the distance, before happily bursting into tears, thinking about how far his nieces have come, before flying off into the sunset as Monty's signature is formed one last time before the screen fades to black.

Gather around, gather around! Let me tell you a tale, a tale about courage and wisdom. Since the dawn of humanity, the simple man always look at the night sky, fixing their gaze upon the shiny stars, pondering about life itself. It is soon became a tradition among Hunters to tell tales to their fellows about the beasts and heroes you see in the constellations. One of these beasts, is a King Taijitu, and this is his tale, the tale of the Wise King Taijitu.

Once upon a time, many millenias ago, deep in the vast desert of Vacuo, there was a cave, and in that cave lived a King Taijitu, but he wasn't any average King Taijitu, he was wise! He soon realized attacking humans never ends up good, instead of wasting his time on suicidal acts, he rather pursued the answers for the big questions of life. This was the way he spent his time until one day when he heard a loud arguing outside his cave, wondering what's this fuss is about he slowly slide out to see a Nevermore and a Beowulf trying to reason with each other over the ownership of a rather large cheese wheel a Huntress left behind when they scared her away.

"It's mine! I saw it earlier!" yelled the Nevermore as he pulled the cheese toward himself. "No I saw it first!" replied the Beowulf, pulling the wheel back. This arguement went on for a few hours, until the Taijitu seen enough. "Brothers!" began his speech "Why argue over something when you can share it?" the two looked at the giant snake confused, never heard of this 'sharing' before. The Taijitu shook both of his heads in dissapointment, he took the cheese into his mouths, and ripped it in equal half, then gave one half to the Beowulf and the other to the Nevermore. "There! I don't think any of you could eat a whole wheel anyway!" chuckling as the two looked at him amazed, they went off happy.

Soon however things changed for Taijitu, as all kind of a Grimms, came from far and near to ask for his opinion and solutions, soon the giant snake became famous for this. One day the Nevermore he met already once, came to him. "What may I help you this time?" asked the Taijitu, "I'm happy to see you still remember me, but this time I didn't come with a problem but I brought news, instead!". "Oh so?" asked the Taijitu's white head. "Yes indeed! The Grimms of Vacuo would like to invite you over a dinner at the nearby mountain." said the Nevermore. What could do, he accepted the invite.

At the bottom of the nearby mountain hordes of Grimm were waiting for the Taijitu to appear, and when he did they applauded for him. Unknown to the King Taijitu, this meeting had no other purpose but to crown him as the Wise King of the Grimms. When he heard this, he wanted to protest but a sudden thought changed his mind, with this maybe he could make the Grimms rise above the humans, creating an era of peace and properity. Accepting this offer, he became Wise King Taijitu, and the building of his palace soon begun.

However as the years turned decades then centuries, he had to face it, the Grimms are just simply too stupid to learn anything! Their insticts are stronger than their will. As he sat on his throne, rambling to himself, he got a brilliant idea. Calling for his messenger the Nevermore told him to send his flocks out, let every Grimm know in the world of Remnant, Wise King Taijitu gives his title and throne to that, who can answer his riddle!

It is happened an exceptionally smart Huntsman was roaming the roads when he heard a small Nevermore flying above him shouting as loud as his throat allowed him. "Gather gather! Wise King Taijitu challanges everyone to answer his riddle, the winner will get his throne and his title as the Wise King of the Grimms!" as the Nevermore was flying away not caring wether the human heard what he said or not, the man just simply thought to himself "Wise King of the Grimms? And all I have to do is answer a riddle? It is no challange for me!" with this thought he got all of his courage and headed to Vacuo.

When he arrived he saw a seemingly infinite line of Grimms, all here to get the Taijitu's throne. Looking at the palace of the Taijitu, he went too close and the two Manticore Grimms standing guard caught him and took him to the King. In time the King finished with another contensant, as obviously they couldn't answer the Taijitu's riddle. The Manticores put the human down infront of the King, "What's this supposed to mean?" asked the giant snake, "I'm here to answer the riddle!" answered the man, causing the Grimms in the room to laugh. A human? Came this far to answer the riddle, to became the Wise King? Blatant! But the Grimm instead of dissmissing the human, he silenced the crowd, "Well, let it be! I give you a chance…." the room suddenly went silent as the King spoke, shocked but curious, "but if you fail, I'll kill you myself!" ended his sentence. "I accept your challange!" replied the man casually. "Well then!" said the King "What is it? It walks on four legs in the morning, 2 legs at noon and 3 legs at dusk." the man was thinking before he said "It's a human." the Grimms were about to laugh louder than before just only to stay in shocked silence when the Wise King said that man is correct.

Up until his death the man was the Wise King of the Grimms, when he died the Grimms destroyed the palace saying no matter what they will not going to crown a king anymore! As for the King Taijitu, he just went back to his cave and they say even in these days, he's there, trying to answer the big questions of life.

This is amusing.

Thanks. I'm working on few more. God knows maybe one will end up in the show. That would be cool! Of course the chances that will happen…..

Yeah I could imagine that…. Since Volume 1……. Anyway about the Semblance thingy, since I not really added anything valuable, how about Velvet having a Semblance that can copy to some extent someone else's Semblance? Would make sense since her weapon is copying other weapons, and we all know weapons are made to work the best with the user's Semblance. Of course her Semblance would have limits, such as she can use Weiss' Glyphs but can't summon.

Talkin' of summon, it totally bothers me Weiss has a Semblance that can use to manipulate her and other's movement, and can also use the same Dust in multiple ways with different effects and outcomes, and to top this she can summon her defeated opponents, and since no one mentioned the Schnee's can't summon human opponents, Weiss all has to do is just kill her enemies (or allies if you think she is that sick) and ka-boom! She's unstoppable! But what really bugs me out is that this semblance is hereditary, now don't get me wrong but not Semblance is said to be unique from person to person? So as long as no one else pops up with hereditary Semblance other than the Schnee's, I say their summoning is as much Semblance as the Silver Eye or the Maiden Powers, so it's not.

Wait, are you in favor of the hereditary semblances or against?
Regardless, it's still a thing as Qrow and Yang have similar semblances. They both get stronger when they get hurt. Each one is still unique as Qrow only needs to get hit once and his power lastly for a few seconds, while Yang needs to take several hits and her power lasts for a little while. So semblances do run in the family, it just changes a bit from person to person.

In regards wether I favor or not hereditary Semblance:

What I say the Schnee's is a bit fishy! Too fishy! And very OP, could also be really sick. Just imagine, Ruby and Weiss finally together again, and they fight some badies when Weiss summons some strong Hunters, Ruby asks why she had to kill them and Weiss simply replies "I just wanted them to serve me." Also Gotta Catch 'em all!

What if Faunus are just Grimm that gained souls?

That sounds like something from the shower thoughts gallery. I think they would be a bit more monstrous if they were originally Grimm. Or at least have those chitin plates the Grimm have.

Aside with the "Faunus are Grimms" stuff (which really sounds like a Schnee/Atlas propaganda.) I got to think about my possible Semblance, is it possible for a soul to manifest 2 personalities and accordingly 2 Semblances? I mean what if my personality is a product of a Soul and not an AI? I watched that CGP Grey's vid on double personality…. erm this one.

So what if during Aura Transfer my hidden personality got in control and the previously main personality got into the background?

Anyway I was also thinking who could be my Soul donator. Well since we don't know how old I am, it could be anyone. But I assume since this was maybe some experimental technology back in time, they wouldn't risk important people, unless they are in danger and they are really important, so that could be either Summer or god knows maybe Weiss' mother! (Since I suspect she might be pushing up the daisies, unless she's in me, yikes.) It could also be someone's daughter, which I hope not. But that would also bring the question why Doctor Polendina keeps care of me, why not the family of my Soul donator? Unless they wanted to keep me hidden until I regain my memories and full power.

Hmm… What if semblances or auras are hatched embryoes that keeps the user away from knocking at death's door?

Dude, a villian with split personality which lets them have two semblances. Imagine the chaos that would cause! I love it!

Alright, now that I've gotten that out of my head, what's this all about? You're saying that your current personality overwrite the A.I. one? Makes sense to me. As for who that person was… I dunno. We have literally nothing to go on. We don't even know if we're right about the whole aura transfer.

Well, I don't think so, although I can understand why but let's approach it this way. Would you waste god knows millions of Liens to invent an artificial Aura when you could just simply knock the poor janitor into a machine that can transfer Aura then let the machine do it's job? You can tackle two issues with one swat, you can test your Aura Transfer Machine so you can be sure it will work when you will need it and can also brag about you have an Android with a Soul! Which makes your country look 100% cooler. Also this could be an easy way to get rid of someone popular who apparently has some knowledge of something you rather not want in the media.
