Ariana Grande Petal, also known simply as the Ariana Grande Petal Meme, refers to a viral audio clip derived from a fake leak purporting to be the American pop singer's upcoming release "Petal," as well as an exploitable image of Ariana Grande's face adorned with actual petals in the middle of a white flower.
The meme first appeared in late April 2026 and began to spread across various social media platforms, particularly TikTok, in August 2026. Many memes use the fake song and image of Ariana Grande as a flower, with many also recreating the memetic image IRL.
Origin
On April 28th, 2026, TikTok[1] user @ox33n posted a screen recording of a now-deleted video purporting to be a leak of Ariana Grande's upcoming single "Petal," in which the singer repeats the word "petal" over and over. The video received over 1.8 million views and 62,500 likes in less than four months.

The audio from the original post by TikToker @ox33n began to circulate on TikTok in late July and August 2026 as the meme went viral.
On July 29th, 2026, TikTok[2] user @just_doing_editss posted a video using the audio and several photos of Ariana Grande edited into various flower motifs and pop culture references. The video received over 10.8 million views and 1.5 million likes in less than one month.

On July 31st, TikTok[3] user @k1ttybloxed posted an edit with the audio featuring an edited photo of Grande adorned with flower petals, which would see continued use in further posts. The video received over 3.9 million views and 594,000 likes in just over two weeks.

On July 31st, 2026, Ariana Grande released the music video for "Petal" on the official @ArianaGrande YouTube[4] channel, obviously bereft of the "Petal" verse. The video received over 24 million views in about two weeks.
On August 2nd, 2026, TikTok[5] user @ladydivathe1 posted an image utilizing the Ariana Grande petal edit arranged into a bouquet. The post received over 3 million views and 495,400 likes in less than two weeks.
The next day, TikTok[6] user @cloudi.ellaxo posted a similar photo, which received over 967,200 views and 176,800 likes in about two weeks.
