About
Bhai Kya Kar Raha Hai Tu, also known as Bhai Kya Kr Raha Hai Tu, is a reaction image that originated from the Sony Entertainment TV show, Shark Tank India. The meme features Indian venture capitalist Ashneer Grover saying the catchphrase which loosely translates to "What are you doing, bro?" The line was said by Ashneer Grover to a contestant on the show, and has since been used as a meme to react to people doing something foolish.
Origin
On 26th January, 2021, the 30th episode of Shark Tank India aired on Sony Entertainment Television. The episode featured a contestant named Rohit Warrier pitching "Sippline," a company that makes "masks for your glass." He pitched a plastic rim cover that can be attached to the rim of a glass to create a sterile protective barrier between the drinker's lips and the vessel they are drinking from. Ashneer Warrior cuts his pitch short to declare that he's "out," and will not consider investing in the contestant's endeavor. He then delivers the now iconic line, "Bhai kya kar raha hai tu," going on to question Rohit as to why anyone would need such a product in their life when straws exist.
A clip of the video was uploaded to Shark Tank India's official Facebook[1] page on January 28th, 2022. As of August 2022, the video has over 250,000 views and over 7,000 reactions (seen below).
