Chores In This House is a parody of Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's August 2020 song WAP that was created by parents on TikTok. The parodies' audio on gained thousands of TikTok videos which were often skits of parents making their children do chores.

Origin

On August 11th, 2020, TikToker angelalah325 uploaded a parody of "WAP" captioned, "Mom's version of WAP while cleaning" (shown below, left). The video gained over 140,800 likes in two weeks. TikToker pagekennedy created a similar chore-themed parody but geared towards fathers and garnered over 761,900 likes in two weeks (shown below, right).

On August 16th, 2020, TikToker damiondaviscomedy used pagekennedy's verision to wake up his daughters on the weekend (shown below, left). The video gained over 520,600 likes in a week. The next day, TikToker therealrahulrai uploaded another popular video using the audio that received over 42,500 likes in a week (shown below, center). On August 18th, TikToker mrlexlumpkin uploaded a skit based on the parody and accumulated over 312,100 likes in a week. StayHipp^[1] published an article on the parodies.
