On November 25th, 2023, professional wrestler CM Punk made his return to WWE Raw for the first time in nearly a decade. The full clip of CM Punk making his return and addressing the crowd was uploaded to the WWE YouTube[1] channel on November 27th, garnering over 2.8 million views in a week. At the 7:40 mark, CM Punk says to the crowd, "I'm not here to make friends, I'm here to make money" (shown below).
Spread
The clip gained viral spread on TikTok following CM Punk's return, including a November 28th, 2023 post by TikToker[2] @heel.paul that gained over 230,000 views in a week. That same day, several TikTokers posted memes using the clip alongside captions about going to work to make money, not friends, including TikToker[3] @d.j.stiltner, garnering over 376,000 views in a week (shown below).

On December 1st, TikTokers[5][6] @turnbuckletopix and @reaganometry posted videos using the green screen that gained over 50,000 views and 5,400 views in three days (shown below, left and right).
