Dimitar Savatinov Lifting Giant Stone is an image macro of champion weightlifter Dimitar Savatinov attempting to lift and set a 186 kilogram stone on his shoulder. The image has been used as both an image edit and an object labeling series.

Origin

On March 2nd, 2018, Dimitar Savatinov participated in 2018 Arnold Strong Man Classic. During the competition, participants were required to lift a large, smooth stone and set it on their shoulder. Savatinov attempted the lift but did not complete the task.

That day, a live stream of the event was hosted on YouTube. In about a year and a half, the video received more than 6.2 million views (shown below).

On December 3rd, Redditor ^[1] bigpeeler posted an image of Savatinov lifting the rock with the caption "Strongman Dimitar Savatinov Lifts World's Largest Potato". The post received more than 1,600 points (96% upvoted) and 220 comments in less than one year (shown below).
