DPMO is a slang acronym for the phrase "Don't piss me off." It originates from internet AAVE, originally finding usage on X, formerly known as Twitter, in the 2010s. Usage of DPMO became increasingly prevalent in the 2020s, coinciding with the rise of Zoomer slang and TikTok. DPMO also trended alongside other acronyms like IDGAF and IJBOL, often paired with and against each other in memes on "Stan Twitter" and FlopTok.
