The 2025 Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Resurgence refers to a surge of new and returning players to the 2017 FPS video game Star Wars: Battlefront II, which occurred in May 2025. The game's player base revival was caused by a myriad of factors, such as boosted interest from May the 4th film screenings and Star Wars additions to Fortnite, as well as season two of the TV series Andor. The Battlefront 2 resurgence raised hope for a Battlefront 3 game, which had been rumored about since the second game's release. Memes about the resurgence also spread on Twitter / X, Reddit and TikTok, among other social media sites, amid the event.

History

In May 2025, a series of Star Wars promotions occurred, including the May the 4th celebrations and the anniversary of Star Wars: Episode 3 – Revenge of the Sith, which was rereleased in theaters.
