By the end of the evening, Griffin took to Twitter to apologize for the photo, saying that she went too far and that she was wrong (shown below).


Trump responded the following morning, tweeting "Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!"[5] A thread inquiring about the incident was posted to /r/OutOfTheLoop[6] that day, gaining over 1,600 points.

You know, the one where you don't make any actual jokes and you just insult a political position and say and do rather tasteless things that are only okay because it's the other side and everyone laughs and claps because it's the other side and people they hate and it's basically the equivalent of a reddit circlejerk in a real room someone paid for?
