Lily Stewart University of Georgia Arrests refers to reports that a University of Georgia student, Lily Stewart, was arrested twice in the span of a month, the first time for speeding and the second time for loitering and obstruction of law enforcement. On March 14th, 2025, a mugshot of University of Georgia student Lily Stewart, who was arrested for speeding, started going viral online. The mugshot, which shows her smiling, was posted by the @GAFollowers X[1] and Facebook[2] accounts that day, garnering over 15,000 likes on the former and 9,800 reactions and 770 shares on the latter in two weeks. Purportedly, she was arrested on March 8th.

Second Arrest

On March 24th, it was reported that Stewart was arrested for a second time, resulting in another smiling mugshot going viral. This time, as reported by AOL,[3] Stewart was arrested for two misdemeanor charges of loitering and obstruction of law enforcement. She was arrested alongside Harvard football player Seamus Gilmartin, who was arrested on charges of underage possession of alcohol, loitering and having a fake ID, according to TMZ.[4]

Lily Stewart's first mugshot went viral following the reports of her arrest, resulting in many comments complimenting how good she looked in the photo.

On March 20th, 2025, the @TMZ TikTok[5] account posted an interview with Stewart. In the interview, she talks about the virality of the mugshot and calls it "funny," saying she "always smiles for a photo." She also talks about men sliding into her DMs offering to pay her bond and trying to hit on her. The video gained over 3.3 million views in a week.

On March 24th, the @mugshawtys X[7] page, which posts photos of attractive people's mugshots, posted Stewart's second mugshot, garnering over 1,000 likes in three days. On March 25th, the @TMZ TikTok[8] account posted a video reporting on Stewart's second arrest, using footage from her now-private social media accounts, garnering over a million views in two days.
