Overview
Minecraft Monday is a weekly Minecraft tournament presented live on Twitch by Keemstar.
Background
On June 23rd, 2019, Keemstar posted the current roster of 21 teams for the Minecraft Monday tournament to Twitter[1] which would begin the next day (shown below, left). The post gained over 800 retweets and 12,500 likes in two nine days. Later that day, Keemstar announced on Twitter[2] the rules for the Minecraft Monday (shown below, right) which received over 3,800 likes and 200 retweets in nine days.
Notable Developments
Week One
On June 24th, 2019, Week One of the Minecraft Monday Tournament began (shown below).
After the tournament ended that day, Keemstar announced @Technothepig and @ShotGunRaids as the week one winners on Twitter[3] (show below, left). The tweet garnered over 9,400 likes and 1,000 retweets eight days. He also announced[4] that "Week 1 #MinecraftMonday pulled in 3.1 million viewers. @Vikkstar123 pulled in 360k on YouTube @Ninja pulled in 900k on Twitch (keep in mind viewers can be counted twice if they watch multiple streams)" (shown below, right). The tweet gained over 11,700 likes and 400 retweets in eight days.
Week Two
On June 30th, 2019, Twin Galaxies[5] posted the roster of 19 teams for week two of Minecraft Monday (shown below).
On July 1st, Minecraft Monday steamed live on Twitch (shown below). That day, Keemstar [6] tweeted, "Big congrats to @Technothepig for winning #MinecraftMonday 2 weeks in a row & his partner this week @iBallisticSquid !!" (shown below). The tweet garnered over 4,400 likes and 300 retweets in a day.
Keemstar also posted a clip from the live stream in which PewDiePie and James Charles are teamed up. The tweet accumulated over 19,100 likes in a day.

On July 2nd, gamer and YouTuber DanTDM uploaded a video regarding week two and confessed that James Charles killed him in Minecraft. The video gained over 193,000 views and 23,000 likes in a day.
