Background

On February 12th, 2025, X^[1] user @MeanLILMeoW made a post claiming that Hunter R., who runs the conservative news X page @rawsalerts with over 1.2 million followers, has a pup play fetish, knowingly had conversations with an alleged underage boy who works on sourcing news with him, illegally posted fetish content in his military uniform and used to be an ANTIFA journalist, suggesting he has tried to infiltrate MAGA groups in the past.

The thread claims that Hunter posted pup play fetish content, including images of himself in a dog mask, under the username PupNikon on sites including Instagram,^[2] TikTok^[3] and X.^[4] Some of these photos include another man referred to as a "pup dom." The accounts related to the name have been privatized or the content deleted since being exposed. The thread includes several photos and videos of the man alleged to be Hunter in the pup play mask. In one, he is seen holding a birthday cake and wearing a diaper. The thread gained over 680 likes in a week.

The ANTIFA journalist claims were first made as early as 2021. On February 4th, 2021, X^[10] user @Brittany3l made a post, writing, "there is currently a pervert degenerate trying to infiltrate RW Twitter. He was caught operating an antifa account and communicating with Portland and NY antifa," sharing screenshots of the accounts alleged to be run by Hunter.

This post was shared in the thread along with other evidence, such as alleged videos of Hunter at an ANTIFA rally and discussing BLM.

RawsAlerts' Response

On February 18th, 2025, RawsAlerts made a post to X^[5] responding to the allegations. In his post, RawsAlerts writes that the past few days have been an "unrelenting nightmare" and that "private information never intended for public exposure is now being recklessly weaponized on X/Twitter." He writes that the accusations against him are "malicious, defamatory, and entirely false."

Rawsalerts then explains the importance of his news page and that he is a "proud gay man and a proud Republican," writing, "Being gay is an integral part of who I am, and I have always carried myself with dignity, honesty, and self-respect. I refuse to let anyone twist my identity into something it is not or use it as a weapon against me."

He continued, writing that he has been in a committed relationship for years and that his husband is in the law field. He then stated that he's seeking legal action against people spreading lies about him, writing:

I want to be absolutely explicit: I have never engaged in anything illegal, immoral, or harmful. I have zero involvement in any of the vile and disgusting activities that have been falsely attributed to me. These allegations are beyond absurd and represent a dangerous attempt to defame my name through deceit and manipulation.

Furthermore, let me state this as clearly as possible as I have no interest in minors. Period. Anyone suggesting otherwise is engaging in a blatant act of defamation, and I will pursue every legal recourse available against those responsible.

The post gained over 8,000 likes in a day. The comments on the post were disabled. The next day, @RawsAlerts made another post on X^[6] reading:

I’ll be sharing more information tomorrow afternoon, as I’m being 1000% transparent and have nothing to hide. This will address your questions and provide clarity for those who truly know me. I want to thank everyone who supports me and understands who I really am. As for those posting and unfollowing me, they are spreading false, unresearched information with no factual basis. These are nothing more than malicious fabrications aimed at damaging my reputation and trying to turn something big which it really isn't. Honestly, I couldn’t care less.

Online Reactions

The allegations against RawsAlerts garnered viral spread on X / Twitter in the days after they were shared.

For example, on February 17th, 2025, one day prior to RawsAlerts' response, X^[7] user @TheMagaHulk posted, "I'm generally confused why this is not a bigger story," summarizing the main points of the allegations and calling out hypocrisy in conservatives, writing, "His conservative friends have admitted on Spaces that he is operating these accounts and they don't deny it's him. Their defense is we should 'live and let live' and ignore his disgusting fetishes and history with ANTIFA because he's a pro-MAGA account now. These people have no principles," garnering over 670 likes in two days.

Reactions To RawsAlerts' Response

Following RawsAlerts' response on February 18th, 2025, X users began lobbing further accusations at him and picking apart his statement.

On February 19th, X^[8] user @doogle990 shared screenshots of a few X^[9] posts by @RawsAlerts in which he claims to have a wife, writing, "Respectfully, if you’re a proud gay man, why did you pretend to have a wife," garnering over 510 likes in under a day.
