Feathers McGraw Pushes a Lever, also known as Feathers McGraw Gaming, refers to a series of memes based on two clips of Wallace & Gromit penguin character Feathers McGraw pulling a lever and wiping away sweat, with a clip of intense gameplay usually included in-between. The format achieved popularity on X / Twitter in early 2025 as users paired the clips with gameplay of various games.

Origin

On November 21st, 2024, the trailer for the stop-motion animated comedy film Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl premiered[1] (shown below). In the trailer, a shot of penguin character Feathers McGraw manipulating a contraption by pushing a lever is shown, followed by another shot of the character wiping away sweat from his forehead.

On November 27th, 2024, the WallaceAndGromit account uploaded both clips as GIFs to Tenor[2][3] (shown below).

On January 13th, 2025, X[4] user @scakboey posted a meme based on the clips, putting a clip intense Puyo Puyo gameplay between them. The upload (shown below) received over 1,900 reposts and 12,000 likes in two days.

Spread

The post was followed by other users on X posting similar memes which imagining Feathers McGraw as a tryhard gamer. For example, on January 14th, X[5] user @BlurryIsMe_ posted a Five Nights at Freddy's meme that received over 1,300 reposts and 7,500 likes in one day.

Later on January 14th, 2024, X[6] user @Rockslide_Rush posted a Pizza Tower version of the meme that received over 490 reposts and 2,300 likes in one day.
