Five Nights at Freddy's 2 Hallway Ambiance refers to a creepy, ambient track in the horror game Five Nights at Freddy's 2. The track starts when an animatronic is in the hallway. The sound effect has gained popularity as source material for edits, particularly for 21st-century humor edits.

Origin

The Five Nights At Freddy's 2 game came out on November 11th, 2014. In the game, the ambient track plays when a villainous animatronic is in the hallway.^[1] On June 2nd, 2018, YouTube user "tire service" posted a 1 Hour version of the track. It gained 1.8 million views in less than three years (shown below).

Spread

In the following years, other YouTubers began posting video clips of the sound effect over people speaking, using the sound effect in 21st-century humor edits and putting them in cursed image compilations. On June 16th, 2018, YouTuber Coolpig posted the father from Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs staring at something while the track played. The video gained over 588,777 views in 3 years (shown below, left). On January 7th, 2019, YouTube user Woke posted the track over an image of This Pleases The Nut. The video gained over 55,255 views in 2 years (shown below, right).
