Galactic Mermaid is a song and scene from the 2019 anime Carole & Tuesday. The song's popularity has resulted in fan covers and animatics.
Origin
The song first appears in the ninth episode of Carole & Tuesday "Dancing Queen", which first aired on June 5th, 2019, in Japan.[1] In the episode, a vocal group called the Mermaid Sisters sing an acapella song consisting almost entirely of explicit lyrics in english (shown below).
