About
Get Me To God's Country is a catchphrase originally used by American country singer Morgan Wallen in a March 2025 Instagram Story posted shortly after he walked off the Saturday Night Live (SNL) stage during the credits scene without saying goodbye to the cast. Actress Mikey Madison was notably the host that night. The Instagram Story showed a picture of a private jet with the caption, inferring that Wallen was excited about leaving New York City to return to Tennessee. Wallen's post subsequently led to controversy and backlash from many online, though some praised it. It also inspired memes that used "Get Me To God's Country" to caption image macros of odd settings, humorously labeling them, "God's country."
