Goo Goo Babies or Goo-Goo Babies is a reference to the Umamusume character Super Creek, specifically to a "Once-in-a-Lifetime Encounter" in the game in which she tells the player, "Trainer! I want to play goo-goo babies today!" When the trainer proceeds, Super Creek talks to the player like a baby. The goo goo babies event went viral in July 2025 during a peak in virality in the game due to its English release, inspiring memes and posts using the term.

On June 26th, 2025, the English translation of the anime horse racing gacha game Uma Musume: Pretty Derby was released, boosting the popularity of the game.

In the game, players using the horse Super Creek can experience a "Once-in-a-Lifetime" event in which she asks the player to play "goo-goo babies." When the player proceeds, she coddles the player by talking to them like a baby, saying, "Who's a good trainy-wainy? You arel Oh, yes you arel"

On July 4th, 2025, Pixiv^[1] user ポコニキ posted a piece of fan art depicting Super Creek trying to baby a trainer, saying the line about goo-goo babies, garnering over 3,500 views in about three weeks. This is the earliest known piece of fan art referencing the goo-goo babies event.

The art was reposted to the /r/TwoBestFriendsPlay^[3] subreddit that day, garnering over 310 upvotes in the same span of time.
