About

"Hell Naw" Dog, also known as "Hell Nah" Dog, refers to a viral video of a French bulldog pressing a button that says, "Hell naw" when asked by her owner if she ate a treat. The video was uploaded to TikTok in early 2024 by TikToker @marks.gallery featuring his dog Creme. @marks.gallery uploaded multiple videos of Creme saying "Hell naw" in 2024. After the original video's virality, many made memes with the video like fancam edits. Others made Hood Irony memes or added text captions that object labeled the scene.

Origin

In June 2023, TikToker[1] @marks.gallery posted videos of his female French bulldog Creme. In September 2023, TikToker[2] @marks.gallery bought talking buttons for Creme. Going into 2024, @marks.gallery started going on TikTok LIVE with Creme to use the buttons for an audience.

On January 6th, 2024, TikToker[3] @marks.gallery posted a recording of a recent livestream in which he questioned Creme about whether she ate a treat when he was out of the room. Creme continually pressed the button that said, "Hell naw." Over 19 days, the video gained roughly 700,500 plays and 90,700 likes (shown below, left).

Two days before, on January 4th, 2024, TikToker[4] @dna4lifee posted a clip from the same stream that later became the most notable "Hell naw" clip of Creme, gaining roughly 1.5 million plays and 233,600 likes in three weeks (shown below, right).
