"He's So Ugly. I Love Him" is a memorable quote uttered by the character Cassie Lang in the 2015 Marvel superhero film Ant-Man.

Origin

On June 29th, 2015, Ant-Man was released in theaters in the United States.^[1] In the film, the character Scott Lang brings his daughter Cassie (portrayed by Paul Rudd and Abby Ryder Fortson, respectively) a doll for her birthday. Upon receiving the doll, Cassie says, "He's so ugly. I love him!"

On May 13th, 2016, YouTuber Davisson de Oliveira posted a video of the scene. The video received more than 18,000 views in less than four years (shown below).

On January 19th, 2017, Tumblr ^[2] user lennybusker posted a series of GIFs of the scene. The post received more than 5,400 notes in less than three years (shown below, left).

On November 23rd, 2019, Redditor ^[3] KZgamer23 posted an altered object labeling version about the Cybertruck in the /r/funny subreddit. The post recieved more than 9,900 points (94% upvoted) and 285 comments in less than two weeks (shown below, center).

Two days later, on November 25th, Redditor^[4] _Ronin07 posted a variation of the meme that references someone's future wife referring to the meme's author as "so ugly." Within two weeks, the post received more than 43,000 points (96% upvoted) and 400 comments (shown below, right).
