Avengers With Acrylic Nails Photoshops refers to a series of images of the cast of the Marvel Cinematic Universe edited to appear to be wearing different nails or hairstyles generally associated with the African American community (similar to Waves Hairstyle Photoshops).
Origin
The earliest known image of a Avenger Captain America with long acrylic nails (shown below) on April 29th, 2019. Twitter [1] user @lovetonyrawrxd tweeted the image with the caption "steve rogers living in the 50s and doing absolutely nothing about his bestfriend thats being tortured and brainwashed by hydra which he knows will result in bucky killing tonys parents."

That day, @lovetonyrawrxd tweeted[2] the image in response to a video in which Captain America actor Chris Evans saying "I’m Captain America. Period. The End." The tweet received more than 7,000 likes and 800 retweets in less than two months (shown below).

Following the post, others shared various variations, such as @graemecote,[3] who tweeted a variation of Evans at a Pride parade (shown below, left).
On May 27th, Twitter[4] user @lakehighlia tweeted seveal images of Evans with acrylic nails and added the caption "Idk who started the trend of putting acrylics on photos of chris evans but please don’t stop." WIthin one week, the tweet received more than 69,000 likes and 18,000 retweets (shown below, center).
Several days later, on May 31st Twitter[5] user @WrittenByHanna tweeted a series of photoshops with the caption "I listened to an interview recently where Chris Evans said he didn't know what Black Twitter was which is deeply unfortunate because now he can't see the beauty that is all these memes of him." The tweet received more than 48,000 retweets and 10,000 likes in four days (shown below, right).
On June 1st, Twitter user @_LGBT21 posted a video of various photoshops of Evans with different hair and nails. The post received more than 4 million views, 1,000 likes and 400 retweets in two days (shown below).

That day, Twitter[6] user @mira_a5 retweeted the video, receiving more than 200,000 likes and 65,000 retweets in two days.
On June 2nd, The Daily Dot [7] covered the memes.
Later that week, on June 3rd, Captain America actor Chris Evans shared the video, writing "This gave me a genuine belly laugh." Evans' tweet received more than 300,000 likes and 72,000 retweets in 24 hours (shown below).
That day, Twitter[8] published a Moments page based on Evans' reaction.
