On October 12th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @tripleamaths posted an image showing two people descending into a subway station via escalator. The image was covered in mathematical equations calculating the length of each step, the slope of the ceiling, and the depth and mass of various shapes in the image. The post gathered over 29 million views and 6.5 million likes in 10 days.

The image was reposted to Twitter / X^[2] by user @oprydai on October 18th, 2025, with the caption, "How a mathematician sees the world," gathering over 93 million views and 42,000 likes in three days.
