On December 24th, 2025, TikToker^[1] @krispykrosssss._ posted a meme starting with a low-res photo of a Filipino man standing outside wearing baggy jeans flared at the feet, a tight black hoodie and big shoes under the caption, "Is the fit tuff?" The video then transitions to a reaction clip of a man laughing under captions making fun of the fit, including, "mf built like an hourglass" and "Is this '2000s older brother core?'" garnering over 466,000 views in a week.

The video quickly inspired memes, starting in its comment section. For example, that day, TikToker @nazuani_yeah_yeah_yeah commented with an edit that makes the man's outfit baggier, garnering over 5,300 likes in a week.

That day, Instagram^[3] user bumassbob posted a collection of edits of the meme, garnering over 168,000 likes in four days.
