I Commit Nefarious Acts My Nigga refers to an exploitable image macro and phrasal template associated with a meme of a devious-looking Patrick Star who has Impact font top and bottom captions layered over him that read "I'm Evil Nigga / I Commit Nefarious Acts My Nigga / on my trouble maker shit." Meme creators began to copy the catchphrase into other images, as well as remix the original image macro by caption changing words. The first-known posting of the image happened on Instagram in May 2021, but it was popularized on iFunny later that month.

Origin

On May 6th, 2021, Instagram^[1] account @wiggazoid posted the original form of the image macro along with the Impact font captions and an additional caption on top written in Helvetica that read, "I KILL people nigga, I'm straight evil nigga / I'm a menace, a villain that kills people my nigga." The meme (shown below) received 159 likes over the course of five months.

Spread

On May 8th, 2021, a cropped version of the meme that removed the top caption was posted to iFunny^[2] by iFunnier @Gxbe. The meme (shown below) received roughly 4,300 smiles over the course of five months.

On May 11th, 2021, Instagram^[3] account @salad.snake reposted the meme and received roughly 70,500 likes over the course of five months. Sparked from @salad.snake's post and its popularity on iFunny, meme creators began to use the catchphrase in other memes across the two platforms going into the rest of May 2021. On May 17th, 2021, iFunnier^[4] @Umyr posted the first new use of the catchphrase in their own meme (shown below) and received 27 smiles.

On May 16th, 2021, Instagram^[5] account @kalapiss posted an exploited version of the original meme, replacing the words like "evil" and "nefarious" with "dumb" and "idiocy." The meme (shown below) received roughly 1,000 likes over the course of five months.

More Instagram and iFunny accounts began hopping onto the exploitable trend. The meme eventually moved to Twitter as well, where users also began exploiting the template.
