About
It's Like Finding a Gold Scar, also known as Finding a Gold Scar or the Gold Scar meme, refers to a series of image macros that liken finding a Gold Scar weapon in the video game Fortnite to other rare, blessed discoveries. The memes spread on TikTok in late 2024, predominantly in photo slideshows that used the song "All Time Low" by John Bellion, centering on the opening lyrics, "I was the knight in shining armor in your movie." Most of the captions followed a phrasal template that started with, "How it feels."

The first meme in the slideshow read, "How it feels watching your NFL team win on Sundays" (shown below). Over two months, the post received roughly 31,700 likes. It is currently the first known post to follow the It's Like Finding a Gold Scar format.
