Joe Biden Screaming "Faggot!" refers to a series of reaction images of the United States President Joe Biden screaming captioned with the slur. Spawned by a viral Reddit post, the meme achieved popularity in 2023 as more images were created and the slur gained memetic association with Biden.

Origin

On December 17th, 2021, Redditor^[1] Derby_The_Bear posted an image of the United States President Joe Biden screaming into a microphone captioned "Faggot!!!!!" The post received over 3,600 upvotes in the /r/okbuddyretard subreddit prior to being removed by moderators (shown below).

Spread

The meme did not see further spread until mid-2022 when the earliest derivative meme within the format, a recaption of Ok, Smart Guy!, was shared. On June 20th, 2022, Redditor New-Excitement7286 made the earliest post of the image in the /r/teenagers^[2] subreddit (original author unknown; shown below).

On October 19th, 2022, X^[3] user @dan_allegretto made the earliest notable use of the image as a reaction. The quote post (shown below) received over 40 reposts and 1,200 likes in four months (shown below).

More reaction images of screaming and shouting Joe Biden captioned with the slur were created in shared in 2023. For example, on February 6th, 2023, X^[4] user @YaoiScholar55 posted a Biden Blast meme that received over 20 reposts and 510 likes in one year (shown below, left). In April 2023, an Ubercharged version of the Biden Shout meme captioned with the slur saw spread (shown below, right).^[5]

On July 23rd, 2023, X^[6] user @prezoh posted the Ok, Smart Guy version of the meme, commenting, "did he actually say this." The post (shown below) received over 3,800 reposts and 55,000 likes in seven months.
