In Always Be My Maybe, Keanu Reeves appears as the date to Sasha in a double date between male romantic lead Marcus and his girlfriend Jenny. Reeves enters in dramatic fashion, underpinning the difficulty Marcus will have in resparking the romantic relationship between himself and Sasha.

On May 31st, 2019, a Novelty Twitter Account devoted to setting the clip to different music launched, starting with music from Eddie Money's "Take Me Home Tonight" (shown below, top). As of June 3rd, the account's most popular clip set the tune to "The Less I Know, the Better" by Tame Impala, gaining over 1,100 retweets and 2,900 likes (shown below, bottom). The account gained the attention of several media outlets, including Daily Dot,[1] Time,[2] and Mashable.[3]
