The music samples the soundtrack from Jujutsu Kaisen and also features Itadori Yuji's English dub actor Adam McArthur recreating the character's introduction saying the line, "I like a tall woman with a nice big ass, like Grammy winner Megan Thee Stallion.” The music amassed more than 57,000 views and 10,000 likes on YouTube^[1] in a few hours.

Stallion and JJK fans quickly noticed the anime sample in the "Otaku Hot Girl" song, which sparked memes and debates on Twitter / X. For instance, on June 28th, 2024, X^[2] user @jekkibby2 posted a snippet of Megan's song and the Jujutsu Kaisen soundtrack, captioning it, "she is so insane for this." The post (seen below) amassed over 2.7 million views and 108,000 likes in a few hours.

A few days before the release of "Otaku Hot Girl," on June 26th, 2024, Megan shared via Instagram Live that she “jumped through eight million hoops” to legally sample the Jujutsu Kaisen soundtrack. The moment was later shared on X^[3] by @doctorTeeTee (seen below), which amassed over 2.2 million views and 35,000 likes in two days.

Stallion also mentioned the Naruto character Sasuke, which also inspired memes and jokes. For example, on June 28th, 2024, X^[4] user @mbrleigh quoted the lyric, “I'm not gonna argue with a Sasuke avi, incel mad Im a weeb and a baddie,” pairing with an image of Naruto lying on the floor with heart-shaped eyes.
