Megan Thee Stallion Pushing is a POV clip of American rapper Megan Thee Stallion pushing the camera away from herself from a music video for her song "Plan B." In August 2022, the clip gained virality as an exploitable meme format when it was combined with clips of various characters flying through the air after getting pushed.

Origin

On June 2nd, 2022, the music video for "Plan B" by rapper Megan Thee Stallion was released,[1] gaining over 11 million views on YouTube in three months. The video ends with Megan Thee Stallion pushing the man standing in front of her away, saying, "you's a bitch," with the viewer observing the scene from the point of view of the pushed man (2:26-minute mark, shown below).

On July 12th, 2022, Twitter[2] user @deadlygraham posted the earliest found meme using the clip, combining it with a clip of the Hannibal character Alana Bloom getting pushed out of a window. The post received over 36,700 views, 440 retweets and 2,100 likes in one month (shown below).

The clip did not see further use in memes until August 15th, 2022, when Stranger Things stan account @willelcore tweeted[2] another version of the meme that received over 50,700 views, 700 retweets and 5,000 likes in one week (shown below).


On August 16th, Twitter[3] user @castlesupe posted a Homelander version of the meme that received over 92,000 views, 1,000 retweets and 5,900 likes in one week. Within one hour, Twitter[4] user @thorschei posted a The Lord of the Rings meme that gained over 3.1 million views, 23,700 retweets and 184,900 likes in the same period (shown below).


Starting on August 17th, the format achieved viral presence on Twitter[5][6] as users combined the clip with clips of various characters flying or rolling after being pushed or thrown. For example, on that day, Twitter[5] user @xianoii posted a Genshin Impact meme that received over 372,000 views, 6,800 retweets and 37,000 likes in one week.
