The original meme was posted to iFunny as early as July 2021 and became the subject of edits and recaptions over the following years, using the phrasal template, "Naked. High. Thinking about X," with "X" being a different, funny subject.

On July 29th, 2021, iFunny^[1] user putita posted an image macro of a woman with bloodshot eyes reading, "Naked. High. Thinking about mysogyny," notably misspelling "misogyny," garnering 17 smiles in four years. This is the earliest known user to post the meme.

Spread

The meme spread over the following years as an exploitable format as users altered the original to create jokes.

On August 12th, 2022, X^[2] user @anniierau posted an edit of the meme that replaces "mysogyny" with "the deep sea internet cables again," garnering over 151,000 likes and 10,000 reposts in three years.

On October 14th, Instagram^[3] user bjorksvaultofdankmemes posted a version replacing X with "pagan poetry dress" (referencing Björk's iconic dress in her "Pagan Poetry" music video), gaining over 3,600 likes in the same span of time.

On January 18th, 2023, X^[4] user @kennatration posted a version replacing X with "different kinds of Italian soup again," garnering over 1,500 likes in two years.

On July 5th, X^[8] user @hairball1952 posted a version of the meme about thinking about filmmaker David Lynch that gained over 6,800 likes in three months. The meme was reposted by X^[9] user @repzmore on October 4th, gaining over 2,400 likes in five days.
