Origin

On April 29th, 2010, NBC^[1] aired the Parks and Recreation episode "94 Meetings." In the episode, Ron Swanson (portrayed by Nick Offerman) says, "I need anyone with a pulse and a brain to pitch in." His co-worker Jerry Gergich (portrayed by Jim O'Heir enters and says, "Ron, you need help with anything?" Ron responds, "No, we're good. In fact, you can head home early" (clip below).
