Not My Name, Quarterback, also known as Nice Catch, Cheer, refers to a scene in the Tubi Orignal movie Sidelined: The QB and Me in which the character Drayton Lahey (played by Noah Beck) throws a football that's caught by Dallas Bryan (played by Siena Agudong). He says, "Nice catch, Cheer." She responds, "Not my name, Quarterback," and throws the football back to him. Both are wearing "Archwood Wolves" merch. The scene went viral on TikTok and YouTube in late 2024 and early 2025. It was parodied in '99.99% Accruacy' Meme Reenactments and absurd edits soon after because people thought that the scene and its dialogue were cringe.

Origin

On November 29th, 2024, the film Sidelined: The QB and Me was released on Tubi. On IMDb,[1] the film's synopsis reads, "A headstrong dancer and a cocky quarterback fight against their feelings for each other as their post-grad future threatens to keep them apart."

In one scene, the male protagonist Drayton Lahey (played by Noah Beck) throws a football which is caught by the female protagonist Dallas Bryan (played by Siena Agudong). He says, "Nice catch, Cheer." She responds, "Not my name, Quarterback," and throws the football back to him.

The scene was clipped and posted by the official @tubi TikTok[2] account on December 9th, 2024, gaining over 1.2 million likes in two months (shown below).

On December 8th, 2024, YouTuber[5] @TabithaswatoshShorts posted a Short of influencer Tabitha Swatosh recreating the scene on the NFL field of the Kansas City Chiefs, gaining over 163,000 likes in two months (shown below).

Others used the TikTok sound[3] of Tubi's video, like TikToker[4] @avaceo on December 12th, 2024, who recreated the scene with a friend, gaining over 11,800 likes in two months (shown below).
