The "Now That We Don't Talk" TikTok Trend is a TikTok trend set to Taylor Swift's "Now That We Don't Talk" where users lip dub to the song while displaying captions that offer twists on the lyrics that explain things they stopped pretending to enjoy after breaking up with a partner. The trend was popularized on TikTok in late October 2023 after the release of Swift's album "1989 (Taylor's Version).

It is unclear who started the "Now That We Don't Talk" trend. The most popular original sound[1] used for the trend was made unavailable for an unknown reason. One of the earliest available versions of the trend was posted by TikToker[2] @kellyhelton13 on October 27th, 2023, garnering over 142,000 views in three days (shown below).

That day, X[5] user @ExquisiteWill reposted a version of the trend by TikToker[6] @kaylei.claire along with screenshots of several other videos in the thread, writing, "The 'Now That We Don’t Talk' trend on TikTok… Y’all the girlies are in hell," garnering over 1,200 likes in a day. TikToker[7] @xmosswater posted a version of the trend, garnering over 250,000 views in a day (shown below). On October 30th, X[8] user @SwiftsTiktok reposted a video doing the trend, writing, "any thoughts and will this trend be successful?" garnering over 250 likes in under a day.
