About
Oh Desgraça Feia, Quem Gozou Isso, which translates to "Oh Ugly Disgrace, Who Came This?" in English, is a text message in Portuguese that a person shared on Twitter in late 2022 as a mockery of a newborn baby picture shared in a WhatsApp group chat. The catchphrase became a prominent caption on social media to mock someone's appearance and, in August 2023, the mother of the Bebê Maria Julia went to a Brazilian news channel to comment on the impact the meme had on her family, with thousands of people calling her kid ugly, creating montages and other Photoshop images.
