On February 9th, 2024, TikToker[1] @andyarthursmith posted a video of himself singing "Oh When The Saints," snapping and looking directly into the camera. Over four months, the video received roughly 23.9 million plays and 2.6 million likes (shown below).

The video was dueted by other singers who harmonized with Smith in the following days, such as TikToker[2] @greg_fountaine on February 11th, 2024, whose video received over 3.4 million plays and 330,900 likes in four months (shown below, left). Strings of duets ensued with the aforementioned video (example shown below, right).

One of the earliest was a "Try not to change your pfp" shitpost shared by TikToker[4] @chill.bill.real on May 18th, gaining roughly 620,700 plays and 63,800 likes in a month (shown below, left).

On May 19th, 2024, TikToker[5] @chill.bill.real posted a more viral video that followed the same format, gaining over 1.7 million plays and 197,200 likes during the same timeframe (shown below, right).

Ray William Johnson vs. Serbian Dancing Lady

On June 8th, 2024, TikToker[6] @iaml0ry posted a video that used ViggleAI to rotoscope Ray William Johnson onto a dancing body, captioned, "Oh no, it's the Serbian Dancing Lady, Ray William Johnson break it down!" receiving over 3.2 million plays and 398,500 likes in 20 days (shown below, left).

The video inspired a slew of Ray William Johnson vs. Serbian Dancing Lady posts using the sound in June 2024. For instance, on June 23rd, TikToker[7] @just_dave57 posted a similar AI video, receiving over 2.2 million plays and 294,200 likes in five days (shown below, right).
