Paparazzi Animation Trend, also known simply as the Paparazzi Trend, refers to a fan art and animation meme trend that became popularized on TikTok in mid-2026. The trend is set to the song "Paparazzi (Dubstep) (Slowed)" by Alximo, a slowed and reverb-heavy dubstep remix of Lady Gaga's 2009 song "Paparazzi."
Videos typically feature short, looped animations of characters performing dramatic or stylized movements and dances synchronized to the track's heavy bass drops and other musical cues. The trend became particularly prevalent among creators in the gacha, original character (OC), Roblox and anime communities.
Origin
The sound used for the trend is "Paparazzi (Dubstep) (Slowed)" by Alximo, a slowed and reverb dubstep remix of Lady Gaga's 2009 song "Paparazzi" that was first released on March 2nd, 2012.[6]
The remix became popularized on TikTok in mid-2026, where it was initially used for anime fancams rather than character animation memes.
On June 29th, 2026, TikTok[1] user @baixy__ posted a fancam featuring male anime characters with long hair, which received over 10.7 million views and 2.9 million likes in nearly one month.

The Paparazzi Trend continued spreading over the following weeks in late July, heading into August 2026 as more users posted examples.
On June 29th, 2026, TikTok[2] user @baixy__ posted another a follow-up fancam featuring female anime characters with short hair. The video received over 6.8 million views and 1.7 million likes in nearly one month.

On July 14th, 2026, TikTok[3] user @iqraaart posted an original animation using the audio that received over 6.3 million views and 1.5 million likes in under two weeks.

The same day, TikTok[4] user @wx2fu posted a video that would standardize the format into a fan art meme, which received over 1.9 million views and 373,400 likes in 12 days.

On July 25th, 2026, TikTok[5] user @omochii6741 posted a video that received over 306,200 views and 128,200 likes in three days.
