Overview

Ciggybae is the TikTok handle of influencer Whitney Brown. The creator gathered a following on TikTok for supposedly looking like Hollywood movie star Zendaya. Ciggybae gained renewed attention in October 2023 after joining a stream with Kai Cenat where he introduced her as Zendaya while dressed in a black Spider-Man costume.

Online Presence

Ciggybae, whose real name is Whitney Brown, is a 19-year-old TikTok influencer from North Vernon, Indiana. The creator began posting photos to her Instagram @homeskilla_whitnit[1] in July 2019 and has gathered over 40,000 followers on the platform as of October 2023.

On April 20th, 2022, Brown posted the first video to her TikTok[2] under the handle @Ciggybae. The video showed her using a filter to determine which Bojack Horseman character best represents her while the main theme song played in the background.

The video gathered over 285,000 views and 4000 likes in a year, with many comments comparing her looks to Hollywood actor Zendaya's appearance in the television show Euphoria (seen below).

On May 25th, 2022, TikToker[3] @Ciggybae posted a video with a cardboard cutout of Hollywood actor "Timothée Chalamet." The video was made in reference to the Zendaya and Chalamet Stare meme that went viral in early 2022. @Ciggybae's video gathered over 3.7 million views and 250,000 likes in over a year (seen below, left). On July 7th, 2023, @Ciggybae[4] posted another video acknowledging how people compare her looks with Zendaya's, gathering over 47 million views and 7 million likes in four months (seen below, right).

On October 19th, 2023, Kai Cenat held a stream ahead of the release of Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 video game. Cenat wore a black Spider-Man suit and invited @Ciggybae onto the stream, calling her Zendaya and pretending as though she was playing her character MJ.

On October 20th, X[5] user @FearedBuck posted a clip of the stream with the caption, "is that zendaya on kai cenat’s stream????" The post gathered over 83,000 likes in five days (seen below).

Also on October 20th, X[6] user @DiscussingRDC posted another clip from the stream, gathering over 19,000 likes in five days (seen below).
