Isabela Gimenez Boscov^[1] is a Brazilian journalist and digital influencer, specializing in film critics. In 2015, she started a YouTube channel^[2] about her film reviews, interviews with actors and other content related to cinema.

On October 23rd, 2015, the creator joined YouTube, accumulating in January 2023, 570,000 followers and 31 million views on her channel. Her most engaged videos come from an interview with Netflix's Stranger Things cast and a review about The Sandman , as many other videos with a fair count of views and comments.

What made Boscov stand out on social media is the way she talks about the films and TV productions on her YouTube channel. The honest phrases about great movies and other not-so-great works of cinema fit into many different contexts, which some fans noticed the opportunity in November 2021, when she uploaded a bomb review^[3] about the Marvel movie Eternals.

The review moderately went viral on Twitter, leading to the creation of a fan page dedicated to sharing clips of the best phrases the film journalist says in her videos. One of the first phrases to go viral refers to a critic about the Disney+ show Wandavision, in which she describes the finale of the show as "silly and outdated". The post with Boscov's phrase, uploaded by @AcervoBoscov on November 3rd, 2021, had 472,100 views and 939 likes in more than a year.

Personal Life

Graduated in Radio and TV from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo (ECA-USP), she worked on several well-known newspapers in Brazil covering cinema and other types of news. in her long career in the entertainment segment, she was able to interview many celebrities like Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, Mickey Rourke, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Roth, Clint Eastwood, George Lucas and others.

Thanks to the increase in audience in 2022 she did and ad commercial for the multinational cosmetics company Avon^[4] in which some of the lines that became memes from her reviews published on YouTube were used. The video of the commercial received 25 million views and 595,000 likes on TikTok in almost a year.

As more clips of previous videos uploaded by Isabela were being shared on social media, around February 2022, some fans uploaded compilation audios on TikTok and started to rank things based on Boscov's iconic phrases. The influencer @doarda shared on February 24th, 2022, a series of selfies she took throughout the years and judged it using the journalist audio as narration for the video. The post received 1,8 million views and 444,000 likes in almost a year. The audio^[5] used in the video below has garnered 9,720 other videos on TikTok.

A series of other audios were also uploaded on TikTok, receiving an average of 10,000 videos uploaded using the sound, like the video uploaded by @badmarques on March 15th, 2022, in which she uses clips of the journalist to rank her favorite chocolates. The post garnered 444,500 views and 79,300 likes in almost a year.
