StrongWaifu or Strong Waifu is a content creator and influencer named Delanie Fitzgerald who's known primarily for her fitness and military-related content, including videos in which she documents her workout progress, performs TikTok trends and models. Strong Waifu gained a substantial following on sites including TikTok, Twitch, Instagram and X throughout the 2020s, boasting millions of combined followers between her accounts.

History

Strong Waifu began posting on Instagram^[1] in 2015, although she did not begin documenting her workout progress on the app until as early as September 25th, 2021. She began posting content on TikTok^[2] on February 27th, 2020, and began posting fitness-related content that year. Throughout 2021, she also began posting content relating to her career in the United States Marine Corps (examples shown below).

Departure From the Military

Throughout 2022, Delanie began posting videos expressing her plans to leave the military. For example, on March 1st, 2022, she posted a video to TikTok^[3] about the cons of leaving the military, garnering over 200,000 views in a year (shown below, left). On May 23rd, 2022, Strong Waifu posted a video on TikTok^[4] documenting her last day in the military in which she explains the process of gaining the final needed signature to take her leave, garnering over 1.4 million views in a year (shown below, right).

2023 Social Media Growth

Strong Waifu continued to gain a substantial following throughout 2023, with over 600,000 followers on Instagram, 1.4 million on TikTok and 200,000 on X by November 2023. On February 27th, 2023, Delanie posted a video on TikTok^[5] about finding a pair of pants from an old military service uniform in the vintage section of a store, garnering over 3 million views in nine months (shown below). In March, another TikToker,^[6] @veteranwithasign, responded to the video claiming the suit was his.

Some of her most popular posts of 2023 outside of TikTok include a May 31st, 2023, post on X^[7] of her back in a towel, captioned, "for research purposes every woman needs to take back pics in a bath towel," garnering over 100,000 likes in six months, and an October 14th Instagram^[8] post of herself holding Minecraft food on a plate, garnering over 178,000 likes a month (shown below, left and right).

Online Presence

Strong Waifu posts her content on Instagram, X and YouTube^[9] under the handle @StrongWaifu. She is also active on TikTok and Twitch^[10] under the username @strongwaifuu.

Buff Cat Girl Post

On August 29th, 2023, Delanie posted a photo to X^[11] in which she poses like a cat, writing, "ok but are u into buff cat girls?" garnering over 23,000 likes in three months (shown below).

The post inspired several memes and pieces of fan art. On August 29th, X^[12] user @Cuddliyy posted a meme that gained over 600 likes in two months (shown below, left). On August 30th, X^[13] user @PhelippeTom posted a redraw of the image that gained over 1,100 likes in the same span of time (shown below, right).

Personal Life

According to her Instagram bio, Strong Waifu is a United States Marine Corps veteran. Her real name is Delanie Fitzgerald.
