TooTurntTony, or Anthony Dawson is an American social media influencer, model, wildlife conservation advocate and content creator known best for his TikTok content, including comedy and social experiment videos featuring his family, other collaborators and domesticated pet ducks. In July 2023, TooTurnTony made a post claiming he would be on ABC's The Bachelor in 2024, although the claim was assumed to be a joke by some, with ABC not confirming Dawson as the bachelor in the days following the post.

Online Career

TooTurntTony's earliest known post to social media is a photograph of his father by a Christmas tree, posted to his Instagram[1] page @tooturnttony on November 14th, 2012. Throughout the mid-to-late 2010s, he began posting more modeling and comedic content to his Instagram page, as well as photographs with his pet ducks. On January 5th, 2020, he posted his first comedy video to TikTok,[2] @tooturnttony, garnering over 488,000 views in three years (shown below, left). He posted a second video to TikTok[3] that day featuring one of his pet ducks, garnering over 3 million views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

Dawson gained a significant following on social media throughout the 2020s, gaining over 20 million followers on TikTok, 1.9 million on Instagram and 2.9 million subscribers on YouTube[4] by July 2023. On May 16th, 2022, Gulf Today[5] reported on a viral video by Dawson where he pays off his sister's student loans with his first OnlyFans paycheck (shown below). The video garnered over 53 million views on TikTok[6] in a year (shown below). On July 25th, Insider[7] published a profile piece on Dawson, claiming he's the number one earner on the social media collaboration platform Pearpop.

On October 1st, Dawson began posting a series of videos to TikTok[8] known as the "3 days of Dahmer" prank, where he acts like Jeffrey Dahmer around his mother for three days as a prank, inspired by how scared his mother is of the Dahmer Netflix series. Proceeds from the video were given to charity. The first video gained over 27 million views in nine months (shown below, left). The final video, uploaded to TikTok[9] on October 5th, garnered over 26 million views in the same rough span of time (shown below, right). On October 5th, Yahoo![10] reported on the series.

The Bachelor 2023 Post

On July 10th, 2023, Dawson posted an image to Twitter[11] and a video to TikTok[12] that appears to promote him as the next bachelor on the ABC series The Bachelor, writing, "it’s about to get turnt. The Bachelor 2024 – coming to ABC/Hulu.🌹" garnering over 5 million views on TikTok and 1,800 likes on Twitter in two days (shown below). The news was not confirmed by ABC in the following days and is possibly a joke.
