Practicing Ordering Mike's Way is a meme trend in which people film themselves practicing to order a sub sandwich at Jersey Mike's "Mike's Way," pretending to tell the worker to let Mike do inappropriate, often sexual things to their sandwiches using double entendres. The meme was popularized on TikTok in June 2025 and inspired the Ordering Mike's Way trend, in which participants film themselves going to Jersey Mike's and ordering their sandwiches Mike's Way, making similar inappropriate requests. In reality, asking for your sandwich "Mike's Way" means to get the sandwich with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, red wine vinegar, olive oil, oregano and salt.
Origin
On June 6th, 2025, TikToker[1] @tyusjonesthepeoplesgoat posted a video captioned, "Practicing ordering a jersey mike's sandwich 'Mike's way,'" garnering over 5.6 million views in 10 days. In the video, he repeatedly pretends to order a sandwich Mike's Way, trying to sound nonchalant and casual as he does.

On June 11th, TikToker[2] @bkharthun posted a video following the same format, in which he shows several clips of him practicing to order a sub Mike's Way. In each clip, he asks for the sub to be made Mike's Way using double entendres and phrases like "could you give Mike the green light" and "could you let Mike have some alone time with my sub," garnering over 2.9 million views in five days.

The trend continued to spread throughout June 2025, inspiring a trend where TikTokers film themselves ordering sandwiches Mike's Way by making double entendres and inappropriate requests to the workers at Jersey Mike's restaurants.
On June 12th, TikToker[3] @ruthschrissteakhouse posted a version of the "practicing ordering Mike's Way" meme, garnering over 4.3 million views in four days.

On June 14th, TikToker[4] @feaseas posted a video where he orders his sub Mike's Way at a Jersey Mike's restaurant, telling the employees to let Mike have his way with his sub, that Mike has full custody and for him to "blow his mayo" on the sandwich, garnering over 2.3 million views in two days.
