About
Scrimblo Bimblo is a fictional video game character used in a viral tweet to exaggeratedly describe how angry some Super Smash Bros. Ultimate players get when their favorite characters from nostalgic games aren't added to the game, particularly when JRPG characters are added in favor of them. This is likely a reference to the large number of Fire Emblem characters in the game. Scrimblo is frequently used in reference with Crash Bandicoot, an oft-requested character by Smash players. The tweet was posted in February 2021, with users inventing lore for the character, as well as another named Popular McJRPGGuy, in the months to come. The name is also used broadly to refer to frequently requested, often cartoony Smash characters, as a sort of insult towards people who demand them and to refer to cartoony, generic gaming protagonists that might appear in games like Crash Bandicoot, Banjo Kazooie and others games.
