I Hate Stuart Little is a large Weird Facebook community devoted to posting memes, image macros, and joke shitposts related to the character Stuart Little, primarily the version from the 1999 American film adaptation of the book by E.B. White.
History
The page was started by an anonymous United Kingdom resident on June 6th, 2018. The inaugural post was of a screenshot from the Stuart Little film of Little in a tank being flooded with water used as the group's cover photograph. The post received more than 230 reactions, 60 comments and 20 shares in less than one year (shown below).[1]
Several days later, the page posted "This isn’t a meme I legitimately hate Stuart Little." Within one year, the post received more than 4,600 reactions, 680 comments and 1,500 shares (shown below).[2]
Highlights
Several days after the launch of the Facebook group, Mashable [3] interviewed the founder of the page. In the interview, they said, "It's just an intense hatred that can't be explained. Whenever I see him my blood just starts to boil. Talking shit on Stuart Little just seems really absurd because he's just a CGI mouse. I think I've struck a nerve with some people who legitimately love Stuart Little."
In less than one year, as of January 2019, the page has received more than 113,000 likes and 115,000 followers.[4]
