June Nicole Lapine[¹][2][3][4] (1991–),[5] better known as ShoeOnHead,[6][note 1] is a grifter of alt-right politics who rose to prominence for videos making fun of online culture which most resembles right-wing strawmen (in particular Tumblr culture). As of 2022, Lapine's YouTube videos are mostly socially liberal but her Twitter feed contains a large amount of social conservative and alt-right dog whistling. Lapine's main YouTube channel has over 1.61 million subscribers and 128 million views.[6] While seemingly identifying with anti-feminist YouTube at-large,[7] and espousing mainly anti-feminist views, she also shies away from the label 'anti-feminist', [8] and has preferred the label, "egalitarian" instead, [9][10] and self-describes as a social democrat.[11] Rather than being a responsible critic of Tumblr culture like the first of her kind (William Shetterly etc), Shoe has a history of dog-whistling far-right politics, being unusually chummy with totally-not-racists [12] [13] and transphobic grifters, [14] videos with literal white supremacists, [15] and so on. This may not accord with her self-described label "egalitarian".
