This Person Does Not Exist is a website that uses the generative adversarial network (GAN) to render a realistic image of a person's face that mixes real samples with fake ones.
History
In 2014, Ian Goodfellow and associates developed the generative adversarial network, a machine learning system that uses a mix of real samples and computer-generate ones to create a new, hyper-realistic model.[1]
On February 9th, 2019, ThisPersonDoesNotExist.com[2] launched. Created by Philip Wang,[3] the site generates realistic photographs of human beings using the GAN system, (examples below).
Features
ThisPersonDoesNotExist is mostly a single-serving site that generates a new image of a person each time the site is refreshed. However, the site also features explanations of how the site works and access to the code.
