Skeleton Reading Book or Seemore Skinless Reading is a reaction GIF of a skeleton, Seemore Skinless, wearing green glasses and reading a book, the background changing to show fire, and then lightning, as he flips pages. Seemore Skinless is from the 1997 educational PC game My Amazing Human Body. The GIF became the subject of memes as early as February 2026 as a reaction image and image macro meme. The meme is often used to portray a feeling of something starting out fun or pleasant, but turning sinister later on.

Origin

On February 14th, 2026, X[1] user @DolliestRose posted a GIF of Seemore Skinless, a skeleton from the 1997 educational PC game My Amazing Human Body, reading a book. He flips a page and fire rises in the background, scaring him. The next page he flips, lightning appears in the background. The post text reads, "How I look when I read my oomfies yume sona/ oc lore and realise oomf is actually evil," and gained over 21,000 likes and 3,000 reposts in a month.

On March 2nd, 2026, X[2] user @starscythe posted the GIF, writing, "this gif is frying my brain," garnering over 137,000 likes and 16,000 reposts in two days.

On March 3rd, X[3] user @ZalophusW posted the GIF, writing, "this is genuinely how reading Kagurabachi feels like, garnering over 2,400 likes in a day.

Later that day, X[4] user @boooolynski posted the GIF, writing, "how it feels finally finding a good roblox game but youre shit at it," garnering over 5,600 likes in a day.


On March 4th, X[5] user @awes0meshapes quoted-reposted the GIF, writing, "Unrelated but the character in this gif (Seemore Skinless) has this bizarro horror version of his game on YT with shitty jumpscares and cheesy effects, but randomly half way through the video its cuts to actual real live footage of open heart surgery and I am still baffled by it," garnering over 3,500 likes in under a day.

The post is referencing a video by YouTuber[6] Alpha Beta Gamer published on March 29th, 2025, with the knee surgery section happening around the 10:20 timestamp.


A post about a Seemore Skinless video.
