Frank Ocean's Cock Ring is a $25,000 gold cock ring sold by Homer, a luxury brand owned by rapper and R&B singer Frank Ocean. After Ocean posted a promotional image of a naked man with pixelated genitals wearing the ring to his Instagram story in August 2022, the ring and Ocean's story both became subjects of memes and jokes online.

On August 6th, 2022, rapper Frank Ocean posted an image of a naked man, his genitals pixelated with the exception of a gold cock ring, to his Instagram story. The post promoted a $25,000 gold cock ring sold by Ocean's luxury brand Homer (photographs of the ring shown below).^[1][2]

Online Reactions

Immediately after the post, memes and jokes about Frank Ocean's story and about the ring were posted on social media, primarily on in the /r/FrankOcean subreddit and on Twitter. Many of the memes referenced Frank Ocean not having released an album since 2016. For example, on August 6th, Redditor Upper-Ad-8166 posted a Babe Wake Up meme that gained over 750 upvotes in /r/FrankOcean^[3] in two days (shown below, left). Later that day, Redditor^[4] SusuSenpai666 posted a Babe Please Stop meme that received over 1,900 upvotes in the same period (shown below, right).

On Twitter, several posts about Ocean's Instagram story went viral. For example, on August 6th, 2022, Twitter^[5] user @ayeejuju shared a tweet that gained over 1,500 retweets and 27,900 likes in two days (shown below, left). On August 7th, Instagram^[6] user playboixcx posted a meme that gained over 2,800 likes in one day (shown below, right), with a same-day repost by Twitter^[7] account @Kurrco gaining over 16,300 retweets and 214,000 likes.
