Suck Up! is a 2023 indie adventure video game that in which the player controls a vampire seeking its way into homes of residents of a small neighborhood. In the game, the player has to use his voice to talk to convince the citizens to let them inside their homes. The game uses AI technology to interpret player's speech and generate appropriate responses.
History
On December 12th, 2023, indie adventure video game Suck Up! was released by Proxima (gameplay video shown below).[1]

In Suck Up, the player controls a vampire seeking its way into homes of residents of a small neighborhood. The game is centered around the player using his voice to convince the residents to let them inside, with AI being used to analyze player's speech and generate responses from NPC. The player can pick up and wear outfits found around the game map, and has to avoid police officers patrolling the neighborhood.
Fandom
Following the release, the game achieved popularity with YouTubers, with clips and videos going viral. For example, on December 21st, 2023, YouTuber[2] MadMorph uploaded a Let's Play video that received over 1.1 million views in one month (shown below, left). On December 27th, YouTuber[3] Kubz Scouts posted a video that garnered over 673,000 views in the same period (shown below, right).
More clips of the game were posted by content creators on TikTok in January 2024. For example, on January 3rd, 2024, TikToker[4] @greenskulltok posted a clip that received over 1.7 million views and 93,100 likes in three weeks (shown below, left). On January 16th, TikToker[5] @shadesofnate made a post that garnered over 986,000 views and 134,500 likes in ten days (shown below, right).
