The Metamorphosis of the Prime Intellect is a science fiction novella about a artificial general intelligence (AGI) that undergoes an "intelligence explosion," a hypothetical event in which an AGI improves upon its intelligence repeatedly until it becomes superintelligent and brings about a technological singularity.
