Whimpering Men Audio or Male Whimpering Audio refers to a series of fetish and ASMR videos consisting of audio of men whimpering, often over music. The fetish has appeared online throughout the 2020s and became increasingly popular on TikTok and YouTube around February 2023, when TikTokers began posting videos about calling the "whimpering men hotline," becoming further popularized throughout the year as accounts began exclusively posting male whimpering audio.

Origin

It is unclear when the first piece of male whimpering audio was posted online. The fetish became increasingly popular throughout the 2020s. One early example was posted to YouTube^[1] by lamarASMR on July 31st, 2021, titled, "Very intense male moaning and whimpering Male Moan ASMR," garnering over 1.7 million views in three years (now deleted, archived). The trend continued to prove popular throughout the 2020s. For example, on January 27th, 2023, YouTuber^[2] forest posted a video that gained over 1.6 million views in seven months (shown below).

Spread

On February 25th, 2023, TikToker^[3] @whatsupcutie posted a video using the call anonymously sound captioned, "'call the whimpering men hotline,'" garnering over 700,000 views in six months (shown below, left). The next day, TikToker^[4] @cokeguzzler posted a similar video, garnering over 2.3 million views in the same span of time (shown below, right).

On March 5th, YouTuber^[5] nv posted a male whimpering video that gained over 559,000 views in five months. On June 22nd, TikToker^[6] @aceislonelyy started posting male whimpering content, setting the whimpers to music. On July 4th, TikToker^[7] @l0v3rcore3 started posting similar audios, followed by TikToker^[8] @audiosforedit1 on July 8th.
