Tears In My Latina Eyes is a username on Roblox discovered in a series of videos posted to TikTok in which several creators found and mocked Roblox players with edgy usernames with the construction "X in my Latina Y." The popular led others to parody the names by posting them sequentially as if they were a poem, starting with "Tears in my Latina eyes." The trend grew popular on TikTok in the latter half of 2024.
Origin
On August 4th, 2024, TikToker @chiandrox[1] posted a video of Roblox gameplay where they found a user named "CrazyButCuteLatina." They followed the user around, repeating "CrazyButCuteLatina" in a mocking tone. The video gained over 2.2 million likes in three and a half months (shown below, left). On August 6th, user mischivff[2] posted a similar video where they did the same to a user with the name "BloodOnMyLatinaThigh," gaining over 918,000 likes in a similar time frame (shown below, right).

On August 11th, user @scewhp[3] posted a similar video, harassing Roblox user "TearsInMyLatinaEyes" in the same way. The video gained over 2.4 million likes in a similar timeframe.

On August 16th, 2024, @scewhp[4] posted another video, this time mocking a user with the name "DreamsInMyLatinaMind," gaining over 3.3 million likes in three months.

As a result of the popularity of these videos, TikToker @bazingamonkey7[5] posted a reading of a poem created by the names, reading "Tears on my Latina eyes / Blood on my Latina thighs / Dreams in my Latina head / I rest in my Latina bed." The video, posted August 18th, gained over 162,000 likes in three months.

Over the following months, the poem spread across social media in TikTok videos and in text posts online. The phrase "tears in my Latina eyes" was genuinely used by Latin people to express comically exaggerated sadness over a piece of media. In particular, the song "No One Noticed" by The Marias was paired with the phrase in multiple social media posts (example by TikToker @zx123____ posted November 15th shown below).
